Skydance Paramount Plans to Eliminate Nearly 2,000 United States Roles – News

Paramount Skydance will begin significant workforce reductions the week of 27 October, cutting about 2,000 American roles under a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn under CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts are a result of the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August with a value of $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are expected, with the company planning to disclose all specifics via its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.

Previous updates had indicated that Paramount aimed to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 positions by early November.

By December 2024, Paramount retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 contract workers.

The organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
