The New England Patriots tied their longest winning run from the Brady period as they overcame division rivals the Jets by 13 points in the NFL

First-year standout TreVeyon Henderson led the way with three touchdowns as the Patriots claimed an eighth straight win for the initial occasion since star signal-caller Tom Brady's final season with the franchise in the 2019 season

Signal-caller Maye threw for 281 yards and a touchdown, completing 25 out of 34 attempts

Victory increases the New England's lead at the summit of the division as they advanced to nine victories against two losses, with the New York bottom after dropping to two wins and eight losses

The opposing team had gone in front at Foxborough with QB Fields rushing for a five-yard TD to finish the New York's initial series

But the New England fought back in the second quarter as Henderson ran in two seven-yard touchdowns before the ball carrier grabbed a reception from Maye at the rear of the endzone in the middle of the third quarter to extend the lead to 21-7

"That was a crucial moment for him rising to the challenge, and it's been fantastic for him to keep earning playing time," the quarterback commented on the rookie. "He aims to be outstanding."

Fields threw to John Metchie toward the end of the third period to close the gap for the Jets but Andy Borregales booted a pair of field goals in the fourth quarter as the Patriots wrapped up the triumph
