Helicopter Spirals Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline

A helicopter soaring over a popular California beach suddenly commenced twirling out of control, finally losing altitude and smashing into a row of palm trees as spectators looked on.

Recordings uploaded online show the helicopter starting to spin above the shoreline then plunging towards the edge of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palm groves and a staircase close to the shoreline route.

The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were transported to a medical facility including a pair who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” following the incident on the weekend.

Three individuals on the street were injured. Specifics on their condition were not yet released.
